SSO Connect SSL Key and Certificate

SSL Key Store

i

Keeper uses the SSL Certificate to establish a secure encrypted connection between the Keeper Clients and the Keeper SSO Connect application. This secure connection protects sensitive data exchanged during each session.

The SSL Certificate authenticates the identity of the website and encrypts the data being transmitted.

SSL certificates are issued by Certificate Authorities (CAs), organizations that are trusted to verify the identity and legitimacy of any entity requesting a certificate. You can purchase digital certificates from a domain name registrar or website hosting provider.

SAML Metadata

i

Keeper SSO Connect uses the Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0 (SAML 2.0) to exchange authentication and authorization data.

SAML 2.0 is an XML based protocol that uses security tokens containing assertions to pass information between a SAML authority (an identity provider), and a SAML consumer (a service provider).

SAML Metadata is required to make SAML 2.0 work and ensures a secure transaction between an identity provider and a service provider such as Keeper SSO Connect.

The SAML Metadata file is provided by your IDP (e.g. ADFS, Azure, F5, Google, Okta, etc.).
